Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher Hosts Constituency Services Pop-Up at Gulfton District Office

On Saturday, January 24, the Gulfton community welcomed Lizzie Fletcher as she hosted a Constituency Services Pop-Up Event at the Gulfton District Office, bringing essential federal resources directly to residents in the heart of the district.

Constituency Services Pop-Up events are designed to provide community members with direct, one-on-one assistance from a congressional office in a convenient and accessible setting. During the Gulfton pop-up, residents were able to receive help with a variety of federal matters, including immigration and passport assistance, Social Security and Medicare questions, veterans’ benefits, and casework support with federal agencies. These services are especially impactful for residents who may face barriers such as transportation challenges, language access, or limited time away from work.

Gulfton is a prime location for these services. As one of Houston’s most diverse and densely populated communities, Gulfton is home to families, immigrants, seniors, and working households who benefit greatly from having trusted resources available locally. Hosting the event within the district ensured that residents could access federal support close to home, reinforcing Gulfton’s role as a welcoming and connected community hub.

The Gulfton District was pleased to partner with Congresswoman Fletcher’s office to host this Constituency Services Pop-Up at the Gulfton District Office. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to civic engagement, accessibility, and ensuring residents are informed, supported, and empowered to navigate government services. By opening its doors for this initiative, the Gulfton District continues to strengthen connections between the community and key public resources.
