Tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday auto technicians at several auto repair shops in Houston are participating in a free catalytic converter etching event in Houston where they will etch/engrave the vehicle license plate number on the catalytic converter and also spray paint the converter. Steps that law enforcement says can help stop catalytic converter theft. These actions can also help law enforcement return a recovered catalytic converter to the vehicle owner should the marked converter be stolen.
