Important Tips

  • Take pictures of your storm damage. The damage assessment process is crucial for eligibility for Independent Assistance from FEMA. Report all property damage to the State of Texas using the iSTAT tool: https://damage.tdem.texas.gov
  • Contact your insurance company before applying for FEMA assistance. FEMA will cover damages beyond the scope of your insurance plan.
  • If you cannot remove debris and clean your property yourself, help is available. Contact the Crisis Cleanup hotline at 832-509-2977. Be aware of scammers and report fraud to the Texas Attorney General.

It is an honor to serve and represent you.

Sincerely,

Gene Wu
State Representative
