In the presence of police officers based at the HPD Gulfton storefront office, the Gulfton Area Management board today officially approved payment of its pledged $15,000 to the toy drive for needy kids in southwest Houston. There’s still time for the public to help, also! Drop off new or gently used toys on Friday at the storefront, 6227 Southwest Freeway. Officers will help distribute the goodies on Saturday as part of their efforts to strengthen ties with the community they serve.
